Framework Layer 5 — Optimization: Continuous Improvement
The optimization layer ensures performance improves over time.
The optimization layer ensures performance improves over time.
The optimization cycle
Measure → Analyze → Hypothesize → Test → Implement → Measure. This cycle repeats continuously. There is no endpoint — optimization is an ongoing discipline.
What to measure
Delivery rate, bounce rate, reply rate, positive reply rate, meeting booking rate, pipeline generated, and revenue attributed. Track all metrics by segment, persona, template, and time period.
What to analyze
Which segments outperform? Which templates generate the highest positive reply rates? Which accounts have the best deliverability? What times and days produce the most replies? What do the best-performing emails have in common?
What to test
Follow the testing hierarchy (Article 429): targeting, offer, subject line, opening line, body, CTA, timing. Test one variable at a time with sufficient sample sizes.
What to implement
Apply winning variants from A/B tests. Update templates based on learnings. Refine targeting based on reply data. Adjust infrastructure based on deliverability trends.
